Philippine Physiotherapy Students Experience Patient-Centered Care

From Monday, October 20 to Friday, October 31, 2025, six physiotherapy students and one faculty member from Mariano Marcos State University in the Philippines, an exchange partner of Seirei Christopher University, visited Japan for a training program at our university.
During the program, they visited Morimachi Public Hospital, Sakai Neurosurgery Clinic, Hamamatsu University Hospital, Terada Pain Clinic, Nishiyama Hospital, and Hamamatsu City Rehabilitation Hospital. They observed state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities and treatments provided by Japanese physiotherapists and learned about patient-centered care. The students also took part in a case presentation session. On the final day, a closing ceremony was held, and certificates were awarded by the Dean of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences.
The students also participated in cultural exchange activities, including sightseeing in Hamamatsu with students from our School of Rehabilitation Sciences. These activities provided a valuable opportunity for students from both universities to deepen their friendship and understanding.
Next February, eight third-year students from our School of Rehabilitation Sciences are scheduled to visit Mariano Marcos State University in the Philippines for a one-week training program.
