We are thrilled to announce that on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the International Baccalaureate Organization officially authorized our school to implement the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) within our Global School Course.
This marks a significant milestone as we are the first school in Western Shizuoka Prefecture to offer the IB Diploma Programme.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) actively promotes the spread and expansion of the IB program as a crucial educational framework for developing global talent in the coming era.
Our Global School Course will implement the DP for 11th and 12th graders starting in the 2026 academic year. This program will open pathways to both domestic and international universities for students in the course.
At Seirei Gakuen, we are committed to fostering global education. Christopher Children Kodomoen and Seirei Christopher Elementary School already offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). With the recent authorization of the DP in our junior and senior high school Global School Course, we look forward to further enhancing our global education initiatives.
