On September 23, the inaugural Christopher Cup English Speech & English Poem Recitation Contest — Little Voices, Big Impact — was held. This marks an exciting start for what promises to become a cherished tradition. The courage, creativity, and English-language skills of the young participants from different elementary schools shone brightly and inspired everyone present.
Outstanding performances were recognized in both the English Speech Contest and the English Poem Recitation Contest, with winners selected from Grades 1–2, 3–4, and 5–6. Each student brought a unique voice and perspective, demonstrating their growing confidence and ability to express themselves in English.
Students from the Global School Course (GSC) facilitated the event. Although it was their first experience leading a program of this kind, their dedication and enthusiasm helped create a warm and supportive atmosphere, laying the foundation for future contests.
The Christopher Cup successfully provided a platform for children to develop their communication and English skills. It showed how “little voices” can indeed make a “big impact” when given the opportunity to speak, recite, and share their ideas with the wider community.
