Dear Colleagues, Students, and Professionals,
It is with a sincere warm welcome that I extend an invitation to the 2nd Seirei International Research Conference and Symposium (SIRCS2020), which will be held at Seirei Christopher University in Hamamatsu, Japan. We and our partner universities and institutions bring together many scholars, scientists, students, researchers, and professionals from around the world. We will welcome colleagues from Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and the United States. There are nearly two billion fellow human beings in these countries, all of whom we support to overcome significant hurdles in their daily life and with communication in order to make the fullness of life more attainable. While we speak many different languages and come from disparate cultures, we all share the desire to serve everyone equally. Amazingly, despite these differences, we all speak the same language of research, care, and service. SIRCS2020 is a unique conference that brings ideas to life in the service of those in need. I invite you to join your colleagues at SIRCS2020 to take a step towards accomplishing our shared goals.

This conference and symposium will bring people together from Seirei Christopher University, its partner institutions, and other universities in order to introduce their research and clinical activities and to promote future joint research and international collaboration. Through this conference, we also aim to promote common understanding in the fields of health care, social welfare, and education.

1. Reception
A reception will be held on Monday, February 17. The fee is 6,000 Japanese yen.
2. Networking Lunch
SIRCS 2020 will arrange a networking lunch to offer the participants the opportunity to meet over light food and refreshments.
We are accepting presentations on a wide range of topics related to rehabilitation sciences, nursing, health care, and social welfare. Symposium presentations are by invitation only.

Application is open to those who share the conference’s sense of purpose and wish to share their knowledge and understanding of their field and the details of their activities. All academics, clinicians, and students (undergraduate and graduate) may apply.
All presentations are to be in English. The presentation formats are oral presentations (15 minutes) and poster presentations. In the registration form, please select either “oral presentation” or “poster presentation.”
1. Time and Method for Presentations
・ Presentation slides will be screened from a PC via a projector.
・ Twenty (20) minutes are assigned for each oral presentation (15 minutes for the oral presentation and 5 minutes for Q＆A). The number of slides is not limited.
・ Slides must be compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint 2013. The aspect ratio is the standard 4:3.
2. Presentation Slide Data
・ Please send your presentation slides in advance by email as a PPT file or bring your laptop as USB devices and CD-ROMs cannot be used on our computer.
・ Please send us (sirc2020@g.seirei.ac.jp) the data by Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
3. For Presenters Bringing Laptops
・ Our PC is equipped with a VGA/HDMI input terminal. Please bring an HDMI or VGA cable to connect your PC to our projector.
・ The space for posters is 90 cm x 200 cm, including the subject number and the title.
・ The top left topic number will be prepared by the secretariat.
・ Please prepare your own title, affiliation and name within 60 cm x 20 cm.
・ The poster layout is free, but please consider the size of fonts and charts so that the audience can see the contents from a distance.
・ The lower part of the posted space is easier to see if you leave a little space.

From the JR Hamamatsu Station North Exit Bus Terminal, take the Enshu Railway Bus at Platform 15 headed for Kiga/Mikkabi via Seirei Mikatahara Byoin. Get off at Seirei Mikatahara Byoin (time required: about 45 minutes, 540 yen); about three minutes on foot.
Take the Tomei Expressway and get off at Hamamatsu-nishi IC. About 3 km to the east on the Hamamatsu Loop Road.
Turn left at the Aoi-cho intersection and head north for about 2 km. Turn right at the Otani bus stop and head east for about 1 km. Turn right at the Enshu Eiko Kyokai intersection and it is right there.
Time required: about 10 minutes.
*You cannot enter or exit from the main gate. Please use the visitor parking lot.

The university is not able to block hotel rooms for the conference or book accommodations on behalf of participants.
If you have any questions about hotel reservations, please refer to the hotel websites or their booking sites. We ask that you please make reservations by yourself.
We recommend reserving a hotel room as early as possible as there is likely to be a shortage of available rooms in February in Japan.
